Connecting Your YouTube Channel

Connect your YouTube channel to Yubely to enable direct uploads, scheduling, and automated publishing.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure you have:

  • A YouTube channel created
  • Channel ownership or manager access
  • A Google account linked to the channel

Step-by-Step Connection Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Platform Connections

  1. Log in to your Yubely dashboard
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right
  3. Select "Settings""Platform Accounts"
  4. Click "Connect YouTube"

Step 2: Google Authorization

You'll be redirected to Google's authorization page:

  1. Select the Google account that owns your YouTube channel

  2. Review the permissions Yubely needs:

    • View your YouTube account
    • Manage your YouTube videos
    • Upload videos to your channel
  3. Click "Allow"

Note: Yubely only requests permissions necessary for uploading. We never access your personal data, emails, or other Google services.

Step 3: Select Your Channel

If your Google account manages multiple channels:

  1. You'll see a list of available channels
  2. Select the channel you want to connect
  3. Click "Connect This Channel"

Step 4: Verify Connection

After successful connection:

  1. Return to Yubely's Platform Accounts page
  2. You should see your channel listed with:
    • Channel name
    • Subscriber count
    • Connection status (✅ Connected)

Connecting Multiple Channels

Yubely supports connecting multiple YouTube channels:

  1. Repeat the connection process for each channel
  2. Each channel can be linked to different brands
  3. Manage all channels from one dashboard

Plan Limits:

  • Starter: 1 channel
  • Creator: 3 channels
  • Pro: Unlimited channels

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

"Access Denied" Error

Causes:

  • Channel not owned by Google account
  • Insufficient channel permissions

Solutions:

  1. Ensure you're signing in with the correct Google account
  2. Check you have manager or owner access to the channel
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting

"Channel Not Found"

Causes:

  • Channel recently created (may take time to appear)
  • Channel is terminated or suspended

Solutions:

  1. Wait 24 hours if channel is new
  2. Verify channel exists at youtube.com
  3. Contact YouTube support if channel is suspended

Connection Keeps Expiring

Causes:

  • Google token revoked
  • Security settings on Google account

Solutions:

  1. Re-authorize the connection
  2. Check Google security settings
  3. Ensure no third-party app limits are set

Upload Failures After Connection

Causes:

  • Channel may have upload limits
  • Daily upload quota reached
  • Channel not in good standing

Solutions:

  1. Check YouTube Studio for any restrictions
  2. Wait 24 hours if quota is reached
  3. Verify channel standing in YouTube settings

Disconnecting a Channel

To disconnect a YouTube channel:

  1. Go to SettingsPlatform Accounts
  2. Find the channel you want to disconnect
  3. Click "Disconnect"
  4. Confirm the disconnection

Note: Disconnecting won't affect already-uploaded videos.

Security Best Practices

Protect Your Connection

  1. Enable 2FA on your Google account
  2. Review connected apps regularly in Google settings
  3. Don't share your Yubely account credentials

Revoking Access

If you suspect unauthorized access:

  1. Go to Google Account Security
  2. Find "Third-party apps with account access"
  3. Remove Yubely access
  4. Change your Google password
  5. Reconnect in Yubely with fresh authorization
